Update on Proposed Golf Cart Policy on Weekends and Holidays

February 26th, 2009

The GGA Board has been informed that the City of Grapevine has decided against implementing a “NO WALKING” policy on weekends and holidays.  In addition, the GGA will not be required to have all tournament participants ride, starting with the March 2009 GGA tournament as earlier stated.

Speed of Play

May 28th, 2006

How are we doing? How long did your group take to play the last GGA tournament?

Here’s what we are doing to combat slow play:

We marshal our tournaments -
Your place on the golf course is directly behind the group in front of you. Should your group fall behind the Marshall will give your group ONE warning. On the next warning by the Marshall, the entire foursome will be penalized one stroke. If slow play continues, the entire foursome will be moved up one hole by the Marshall and accessed a double par for the hole they are playing. Let everyone be warned, we will invoke the rule and assess the prescribed penalties.

GGA Slow Play Dog House -
We assign identified slow players to the last tee times in any given tournament.
